The ghost

Ok, this photo was taken on the occasion of a funny video for Halloween that you find on our social networks, it has nothing to do with what I want to tell you about, Florence has some historical and important legends regarding ghosts in the city.

The first of all is perhaps the legend of the ghost of Baldaccio d'Anghiari, a brave and feared soldier killed by treason, dropped from a window of Palazzo Vecchio (now the Town Hall) in Piazza della Signoria and beheaded. It is said that he still wanders among the rooms of the palace waiting for justice holding his head under his arm even if perhaps his place is the Castle of Sorci in Anghiari (AR), his home, where the paranormal phenomena that happen seem really many.

The last window at the top right, on the second floor, of Palazzo Budini Gattai, in Piazza della Santissima Annunziata 1, (you can check it too) is always open. It seems that Mrs. Grifoni waited all her life waiting for the return of her husband who had left the war and never returned checking the square from her room.
